The company ITCS was founded by Andreas Urban in 2004. As a qualified specialist with a German “Diplom” degree in Business Administration and Computer Science, Urban has been focusing on the outsourcing of software development services for many years, especially with regard to agile product, program and project management.
Andreas Urban boasts more than eight years of practical experience in national and international management and more than ten years as a software developer.
He has also worked as a product and project manager in several different companies, as Head of IT at a telemarketing agency, as Head of Software Technologies at a logistics systems company, as Head of the R&D Department at a manufacturer of video security software and as a managing partner of a software house responsible for the development of an ERP solution for waste logistics.
The fact that Andreas Urban has also worked outside of Germany means that he is well aware of the challenges involved in global information technology and can incorporate this expertise into all of his projects. His excellent knowledge of the industry on a wide scale additionally plays an important role as a helpful tool when it comes to services involving transfers for projects in other industries.
What fascinates me about my job is the diversity. I manage complex projects with a large number of stakeholders. In the end, however, the best result for my client is the only thing that matters.
As a provider we carry out analyses, develop solutions and optimize processes. This requires a clear mind, focus on efficiency, concentration on the essentials and stamina. However, most important are always the project’s participants. Without the support of the client, there is seldom a chance of success.
Ideally, everybody works in the same direction in a project. To accomplish this, we have to create trust of all involved people. Our expertise helps us to do this, but in the end our energy and willingness to work and to solve the assigned tasks convinces our clients most.
In our job, we need to be able to listen. Many excellent suggestions come from the customer himself. These often have to be enriched only with our wealth of experience to find the ideal solution. That is why it is our task to ensure that every project participant can contribute in the best possible way. Then you can get things moving. Conflicts have to be solved as well. If something goes into the wrong direction, it is our duty to point this out. We’ll get paid for that.
